Most of what I build replaces something someone is doing by hand. A dispatcher assigning loads every morning. A delivery record that only exists on a paper slip. An intake form that gets retyped into three different systems. Writing the code is the quick part. Working out what the job actually is takes longer.
I use AI heavily while building, which is why a month of work often takes a week, and how I can be on a trucking system and a museum in the same week. I put it inside a product when it earns its place, and leave it out when it does not.
